Leslies Toyota Loves keeping you safe on the road

Your safety matters. So we’ll make sure your tyres are the right ones for your car and that they’re in the best possible condition.

Toyota Loves checking everything thoroughly

Road works, sharp objects, potholes... all these everyday driving hazards can seriously affect the safety and performance of your tyres.

Usually, we know straight away when we’ve driven over those sorts of things, but something smaller can go unnoticed and still cause real damage.

It’s a good idea to check your tyres every time you drive. But in the real world we’re usually in a rush and this isn’t always easy to do.

So for your safety and peace of mind, simply bring your Toyota in to us for a free tyre safety check.

We’ll look over each one and let you know what, if anything, needs our expert attention. We’ll also check the right tyres have been fitted to your car and advise you what to do if they haven’t.

Did you know? Through a typical 12-month period, the UK experiences temperatures ranging from +32°C to -15°C. So it’s unreasonable to expect one type of tyre to provide consistently high safety levels.

Toyota Loves tyre safety checks

Fitting the correct tyres isn’t just something you ought to do. They can improve the safety, economy, road noise, and driving pleasure of your Toyota.

For example, the proper tyres with the correct level of tread and air pressure greatly reduce braking distances, especially when it’s wet. And that can make all the difference in an emergency. Since 2015 all cars must have TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) fitted. This system automatically warns you if your tyre pressure is too low. But if your car is not fitted with this system then do regularly check your tyre pressure.

Low pressure levels mean softer tyres, reduced grip and greater resistance with the road surface. So the engine has to work harder and use more fuel. Our experts always make sure yours are precisely the right ones for your car and that they’re in the best possible condition. And if they aren’t, we’ll advise and replace them for you.

Did you know? At Leslies Toyota, we offer all our customers a free puncture-repair service.* We think this is so important you don’t even need an appointment. Just pop in and talk to us about what’s concerning you.

*if your tyre can be safely repaired (this excludes ‘run flat’ tyres).

Toyota Loves safe winter driving

The winter months are long and drab enough – but ice (and black ice), snow, slush, leaves, standing water and endless dark days can make driving on our roads even more of a challenge.

And because normal car tyres lose performance when temperatures drop below 7°C, it makes sense to be as prepared as you can be by fitting Toyota’s Winter Tyres before it gets too cold. These use a different type of compound and tread from normal tyres and work better at colder temperatures. This in turn helps the tyres to grip the road more effectively in harsher conditions.

Winter tyres provide considerably shorter stopping distances on both wet and dry roads at low temperatures. And they return better mileage because the wear on normal tyres increases when used during winter months, and can reduce mileage by up to 20%*. We’ll be happy to tell you more when you come in.

*Subject to driving style.

Your Tyre Price Match

We constantly check our prices to make sure they’re the best they can be for you. In fact, if you find the same tyre for less within a 10 mile radius, we’ll match the price at participating Toyota Service Centres (subject to a written or e-mailed quote)*.

*Terms & Conditions apply.
