New Toyota Corolla

We're saying goodbye to the Auris, and hello to the Corolla.

Following a new naming approach, Toyota have decided to apply the iconic Corolla name to all their mid-range models across Europe. This means that after 12 years at the heart of the Toyota range, the Auris nameplate will be discontinued.

As you might know, the Corolla remains the best-selling model in automotive history, and is a globally recognised name, with over 45 million vehicles sold since its introduction in 1966. Most importantly, for you as a customer, this is simply a name change. You will continue to receive the same level of support from Leslies Toyota – whether it is sales, parts or services.

The name change coincides with Corolla’s adoption of the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) which offers a more rewarding driving experience thanks to a lower centre of gravity, multi-link rear suspension, and a more rigid body shell through the use of high strength steel as reinforcement in key areas. In addition, Corolla will benefit from the latest hybrid technology.

Hybrid never felt so good

All three cars will have the 1.8 litre self-charging hybrid engine for a supremely smooth drive while the Hatchback and Touring Sports will also offer a new 2.0 litre hybrid packed with dynamic possibilities.

Whichever engine you prefer, industry-leading Toyota Hybrid technology will give you excellent fuel efficiency and the tried and tested petrol-electric combination is proven to create lower CO2 emissions and save money on road tax.
