At Leslies Toyota, we believe that supporting our community is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we are incredibly proud to have played a role in securing a brand-new Toyota Proace Shuttle EV for Mountbatten Hospice, thanks to the Toyota Community Electric Van Loan Programme.
This initiative, launched by Toyota GB, set aside a limited number of all-electric Toyota Proace Shuttle vehicles for selected charities across the UK. Toyota dealerships were invited to nominate a local charity that would benefit from the use of one of these vehicles for two years, and we were thrilled that our nomination of Mountbatten Hospice was successful.
The Mountbatten Hospice has touched countless lives on the
Isle of Wight, providing compassionate care and support to patients and their
families. Their work is deeply valued by the local community, and we are
honoured to help facilitate their vital services with this zero-emission
vehicle.
Nigel Harley, MBE, CEO of Mountbatten, expressed his gratitude:
“A huge thank you to Leslies Motors for supporting Mountbatten Isle of Wight and thinking of us when the opportunity to apply for this loan vehicle arose. This all-electric Toyota is ours to use for two years. It will be a huge asset. It will allow our specialist staff to offer even more support to patients and their families across the Island, including enabling them to access the wide array of services at our John Cheverton Centre, in Newport.”
This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of our Sales Executive, Richard Winter, who worked tirelessly to ensure the hospice was selected for this incredible opportunity.
