Q: Why are these changes happening?
A: Leslies Motors is restructuring its operations to ensure we can continue to provide the best service and remain strong for the future. Unfortunately, this means closing our Hyundai site in Sandown at the end of November 2025.
Q: When will these changes take effect?
A: Hyundai Sandown will close at the end of November 2025.
Q: Will staff be affected?
A: Some roles will be impacted, but we are working hard to minimise redundancies by redeploying staff to other Leslies Motors locations wherever possible.
Q: Are any of our other brands effected?
A: No none of Kia, Toyota, Mazda or Suzuki are affected by the changes we will continue to offer both sales and service for both brands.
Hyundai Customers
Q: Will I still be able to have my Hyundai serviced or repaired on the Isle of Wight?
A: Yes. We will continue to be an authorised Hyundai repairer at our Northwood branch, offering full servicing, MOTs, warranty work, and genuine parts.
Q: Will the move to Northwood affect my warranty or service history?
A: No. All Hyundai servicing, MOTs, and warranty repairs carried out at Northwood will be fully recognised by Hyundai UK.
Q: What if I can’t easily get to Northwood?
A: To make things easier, we are adding extra capacity for collection and delivery services to help customers who may find the journey more difficult.
Q: Can I still buy a new Hyundai from Leslies Motors?
A: New Hyundai vehicle sales will no longer be offered at Sandown once the site closes. Please contact our team for assistance in ordering or finding a new Hyundai through the official dealer network.
Q: I have a new Hyundai on order. What happens now?
A: We will be making contact with all our customers with vehicles on order to explain the options available to them
