Spacious, comfortable, tranquil

A longer wheel base and wider chassis not only adds to the prowess of the all new i20 but it improves the interior space of the vehicle.

Inside the vehicle the largest transformation is the advanced infotainment now boasting 10.25" navigation including Bluelink in the Prmium & Ultimiate specs. A new 10.25" Digital Cluster is standard to all trims and will offer a key HERO feature for all new i20. Blue mood lighting in the doors and footwell (Premium & Ultimate) enhance the interior space further while the BOSE premium sound system (ultimate) adds high definition audio quality.

Inside the i20 each surface has been crafted to look and feel exceptional. Materials have been carefully selected with special attention given to their quality and durability.

48-Volt Hybrid System

The 48-volt hybrid system is available with both manual and DCT transmission options. It’s able to run on electric when decelerating or whilst stopped, conserving fuel at regular intervals on your daily drive. It’s an enhancement over traditional start & stop technology as it is able to switch to electric before the car comes to a complete stop.

Intelligent Manual TransmissionFor increased fuel efficiency, the iMT decouples the engine from the transmission after the accelerator is released. The vehicle goes into coasting mode.

Dual Clutch TransmissionThe specially developed 7-speed DCT gearbox adds dynamic automatic gear changes with optimised fuel efficiency. Shifting between gears is extremely smooth and fast.

Improved Safety Features

Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)

Front-mounted camera systems scan the road ahead for vehicles. AEB automatically initiates emergency braking to minimize the chances of a serious crash, or reduce its consequences.

Forward Collision Assist (FCA)

Sensing the road ahead with radar and a camera, the FCA system in conjunction with AEB, automatically brakes when it detects a pedestrian in the road or sudden braking by the car ahead. Ultimate models also monitor for bicycles on the road.

Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)

The system contributes to active safety by avoiding unintentional lane departures caused by driver distractions. LKAS warns the driver acoustically and visually before inducing a corrective steering force.

Blind Spot Collision Warning (BCW)

Sensors mounted in the rear bumper on Ultimate models detect the proximity of any vehicle obscured in the blind spot and trigger a warning light in the relevant door mirror. An acoustic signal immediately sounds if a turn signal is activated when a vehicle is detected in the blind spot.

Electronic stability programme (ESP) and Vehicle stability management (VSM)

To ensure optimal braking performance, ESP automatically distributes optimum brake force to each wheel based on engine torque and driving
circumstances. VSM enables the vehicle to maintain maximized stability and safety when driving in potential skidding situations.
